Multiwavelength HiPS sky surveys

In 2022, CDS celebrates its 50th anniversary. There are now nearly 1000 different HiPS sky surveys available through our sky atlas Aladin. HiPS surveys allow users to visualize astronomical surveys from the all-sky view down to the full original resolution. This video was produced by extracting individual frames from various HiPS using the hips2fits service (http://alasky.u-strasbg.fr/hips-image-services/hips2fits).
