Evolution of VizieR contents

In 2022, CDS celebrates its 50th anniversary. The contents of the VizieR astronomical database has greatly evolved, now reaching nearly 50,000 data tables for a sheer number of 60 billion rows. This animation shows the evolution of VizieR contents over time, and the sky distribution of the astronomical objects present in VizieR. For more information, visit : https://vizier.cds.unistra.fr/
